Finally, a neighborhood garage that does top notch work, is incredibly welcoming, efficient, thorough and affordable! What a difference it makes to feel that you and your car are in the hands of a reliable outfit that actually cares about you! I couldn’t be happier with the work and and enthusiastically recommend Chariot to anyone in the Jersey City are looking for any type of auto repair.

Caught a nail in one of my tires and was lucky enough to be nearby the shop for a quick repair. Quan was so helpful and resolved in less than 20 min. Thanks!!

Developed a hole in the tire that was quickly going completely flat, 30 minutes from home, with a cranky baby, and food in the car that needed to be refrigerated. Chariot Auto was the closest mechanic so we drove straight there, unsure they would be able to help. They immediately got to work patching the tire and had us on our way in 10 minutes. Super grateful for Chariot Auto Repair.

This Coach Rico as this is how most people know me. I don’t ever like to speak bad about someone I believed was trying to help me. But in this case I needed to change my A/C compressor. I bought my own part, which I ordered online. The company stated the compressor I ordered would definitely fit my vehicle. But approximately two hours later I was advised that the compressor I bought to the shop was not the right compressor. Since Ricky was unable to order the exact part for my 2006 Chevrolet Impala SS V8 5.3L engine. He said he had to put my vehicle back together and take it off the lift, because he had to work on other cars. But since his mechanic had spent approximately two hours working on the vehicle. It would cost me $270.00 for the labor. When I explained to Ricky that my car is in the same condition it was when I arrived. So to pay him $270.00 is clearly unreasonable. Eventually Ricky charged me $200 for the labor. I left the shop feeling like I was robbed. I know, I bought the wrong part and Ricky’s mechanic spent time removing the bad A/C compressor. But to pay $200’s of my hard earned money for a job that was technically not done was ridiculous. What do you think?

Excellent customer service and friendly family business. Check engine light came on and they were able to assess the issue and provide the necessary parts with a very timely turn around time. Was in my car later that afternoon, couldn’t recommend or speak highly enough.
